We are exclusive distributors for Netex Canada and as such we have access to some of the worlds most durable nets. The nets we supply and install from Netex are hand made and customized for each specific job size and location. You can find Netex nets all over the world from Vancouver, British Columbia to Melbourne, Australia. Netex hand ties every net and uses abrasion-resistant treatments to lengthen the longevity and durability of their nets. DNA works closely with Netex for all our jobs and uses our exclusivity to provide the highest quality of net for our clients.
Dyneema – The Dyneema netting is our premium netting material that we install and is made from the world’s strongest fiber. It is used to create the most durable, UV-stable, moisture-resistant, lightweight netting in the world. The ultra-high molecular polyethylene (HMPE) is up to 15x stronger than steel by weight. Dyneema yarn offers an abrasion life four times longer than generic polyethylene.
Polyester – The Polyester netting is our generic netting material that we install. Polyester netting is heavier and has more visibility when compared to Dyneema netting. It provides a good quality net that performs at high standards just with a heavier and more visible material.
All of the Dyneema netting used for installation has a 10-year warranty against UV degradation and a 2-year workmanship warranty. All Polyester netting used for installation has a 10-year warranty. Warranty is voided on the new nets due to failures of the poles due to weather conditions such as an Act of God like a Snow Squall or flooding. If the poles snap for whatever reason and the nets are ripped down, this is not warranty work. Any physical damage incurred to the nets is not warrantied work (i.e., weather damage, nets that are cut by mowers or people, people pushing golf balls through them, animals
tearing at them etc.).
Regular maintenance is suggested to keep minor issues from developing into major ones. All Netex nets are hand-tied and customized for optimum fit, as well as appropriate tension is taken into consideration when hand-tying each net. Wind-tunnel testing to ensure wind load numbers are correct is also performed on the materials used to customize the nets.
When deciding what poles are most fitting to use for the installation process we take into account the Geotechnical Report, the location of the poles and the height of the desired poles. Wood poles are the majority of poles that are used to install nets.
Wood poles can range to 25’ – 150’ in height and offer a more simplified installation process. Depending on the height of the wood pole guy wires will be required in the installation process.
Steel poles offer a more aesthetic look but require a harder installation process but can also range in height from 25’ – 150’. Both types of poles offer stable and efficient solutions when installing a sports netting system.
We offer LED Light installation to our clients who need outdoor lighting for their stadiums and driving ranges. We aim to install the lights by anchoring them to the poles that the nets are attached to. Our exclusivity with Netex allows us to use their patented engineered steel poles that allow for both nets and LED light component combos attached to them.
Geotechnical Report
A Geotechnical Report is used to determine what kind of soil/ clay is in the ground where poles will be placed. By doing this report it allows us to determine the digging conditions as well as the most appropriate material to use for our net posts.
Estimate
The estimate/quote is put together after the geotechnical report is received as it allows us to quote accordingly. The quote will contain all necessary factors that go into our net installation. It will cover net supply and installation, installing and standing poles (wood/ steel), installing hardware, installing guy wire, tensioning the cables, labor and equipment.
Posts/Hardware Installation
The post & hardware installation begins once the quote is accepted and deposits are paid. We will start by ordering in the required posts (wood/steel) and install the posts into the ground. To stand our posts we require either a crane or a radio boom digger, this is dependent on the height of the pole (55 feet – 150 feet). Once poles are securely installed we add the necessary hardware in order to hang the nets.
Measure Netting Materials
Measuring for the custom net is done after the poles are securely placed in the ground. To get an accurately sized net we measure for our custom made nets once the poles are secured in the ground. By doing this it allows for nets that are made to fit the specified area perfectly. Nets that are made too small or too big can cause flaws in the installation process and not perform to our standard. Once we measure we get the custom nets ordered.
Net Installation
Net installation occurs when nets are delivered from our manufacturer, then we will go back to site and install the nets. The net installation process requires a lift and additional hardware. Once the nets are installed we will finalize al
